Spring Break 2011...Obnoxxious Style!

So it's kind of hard to believe that Spring is already here. Although, in Colorado, that could still mean blizzards followed by 80 degree weather. But with Spring comes Spring Break. Well at least for some people... Some of our friends recently went on a Spring Break trip to Lake Havasu in Arizona and, as expected, they kicked it off Obnoxxious style. Unfortunately, the guys and I weren't able to make it down but, judging by the pics our buddies sent, they were nothing less than Obnoxxious!

Man, We Love Colorado!

Besides the fact that you can experience all four seasons in Colorado in the same day, we love that you can hop in your truck, drive 10 minutes, and be in the desert with nothing but miles of dirt and open space in front of you. This weekend, we did just that. Well...sorta. We were at the Grand Junction Motocross Track on Saturday and Sunday but, unfortunately, we weren't riding. We were, however, watching motocross races, selling merchandise, and enjoying the spring weather. A big congratulations to all those that participated in the events, and a thanks to all those that came out to see us and showed support! Be Obnoxxious!

Meet Wes Chapman!

Meet, 16 year old Snocross racer, Wes Chapman. Wes' hometown is Craig, Colorado, but his racing takes him between several states. In case you missed the last post, the crew and I went to Silverton, Colorado this last weekend to watch Wes Chapman race his snowmobile. He races in the XMR, Xtreme Mountain Racing, circuit, and we recently started sponsoring Wes and are proud to announce that he is the first person that we've taken on for Team OBNOXXIOUS. If you ever have the opportunity to watch this kid ride, you will see that it was worth the wait for us. This weekend was Wesley's last race in Colorado for the season. On Saturday, he took second overall in the 14 to 17 class and on Sunday he took first and season champ in the 14 to 17 extreme class, season champ in the sport class, and second in the 16 - 17 class. This kid was born to race. This weekend he has his final race of the season in Wisconsin, and we know he's gonna do great! We can't wait to watch Wes race next season! Motocross + Snow + OBNOXXIOUS Riders = SNOCROSS!

So, this past weekend, the crew and I had the opportunity to go up to Silverton, Colorado to watch some Snocross. Besides at the X-Games, none of us have really watched much Snocross in person. I've got to say that it's on the same level as motocross as far as action is concerned. The course was definitely pretty cool and allowed for the racers to get some adequate air time. We especially enjoyed getting to watch the little guys race and also the mom's of the racers. Both of those races were extremely entertaining. The main reason we went up to Silverton, however, was to watch Wesley Chapman dominate the snow. We recently started sponsoring Wes and were pleased we had an opportunity to watch him race in person. I will discuss Wes further in my next post. For now though, check out some of the pics from the event.
